This is the stand I built in the beginning. See photo Tools and Accessories. Here you can see the stand with the DVR lathe mounted.. I first selected a longer brace to the stand. This stuff makes good stands.

The stand is in place, and the lathe is on. The stand just doesn't have enough mass to damp the vibration of the workpiece. And another view. So I designed this lathe stand to help the lathe run vibration-free.. Well that stand is ROCK solid, and runs smooth as silk !!! I have a Vicmarc VL300, and it has a stand that is narrow on the tailstock end..

I designed the Lathe Stand to bolt together, so it can be easily disassembled and moved. I also want to make the stand wider, and stand alone, bolted down to the floor. I first temporarily tacked a longer brace to the stand.
